October 14,2010: US-based Vax Trac is on a 6 weeks visit to Narnaul, India to collaborate a project on the application of Bio-metrics in the field of Immunizations. More details and pictures in the blog section and and pictures.
Month of August 2010: MMR Vaccination project gets a boost!
The month of August 2010 coincided with the visit of MIF Team in Narnaul. Dr. Munish Raizada from Chicago and Dr. Ved P Yadav from Delhi visited Narnaul for 5 days during which several functions were held. The local team in Narnaul had made good preparations .
NB: By end of October 2010, Mission India Foundation has provided free MMR vaccines to more than 2500 kids in Narnaul region.
The team MIF - staffed by a qualified health worker (ANM) and an Operations Manager- provide the vaccination services to kids 6 days a week. Out of these 6 days, our team visits villages 3 days (Tue, Thurs, Fri) .
On the occasion of Independence Day (August 15), we organized a MMR Vaccination Camp at village Niwanagar (approximately 6 KM from Narnaul city). On this occasion, we immunized 123 Kids with MMR vaccine. Dr Rajeev Nagpal- a Pediatrician from Gurgaon- and 2 ANMs (Ms Vijay Lakshmi and Ms Sushma Yadav) had joined us in this health camp.

April 26, 2010: Mission India Foundation held a meeting in Narnaul, Haryana.The meeting was attended by Dr Munish Raizada, Dr Ved P Yadav and several other members and patrons of MIF. The occasion was utilized to take stock of the MMR Vaccination project.

The state of Haryana: has an area of 44,212 sq. km. and a population of 21.14 million.
There are 21 districts, 119 blocks and 6955 villages.
The State has population density of 478 per sq. km. (as against the national average of 312). The population of the state continues to grow at a much faster rate than the national rate.
Per India's Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (2007):
The Total Fertility Rate of the State is 2.7.
The Infant Mortality Rate is 55 and Maternal Mortality Ratio is 162 (SRS 2001 - 03) which are lower than the National average.
